It takes many volunteers to make Fun Day happen for our elementary children. Please plan to attend the meeting and to share in the excitement on Fun Day. Our next meeting will be Thursday April 16th at 7:30 in the Elementary Cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our next fundraiser is an artwork fundraiser. We would like to thank Mrs. Martin and Mary Meyers for helping us with this fundraiser. Please watch your child's backpack for more information as this fundraiser draws near.

Twas The Night Before Christmas

The big event. We had a great turn out. The families really seemed to enjoy themselves.

We hope you enjoyed this fun filled evening. It was a lot of work but worth it. We would also like to thank all of those individuals who helped afterwards to clean up.

GYM

In the gym was the reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Rick Banks. Thanks so much for you willingness to help us.

In the library, the children practiced writing skills. They were able to make a wish list and complete a craft.

Lunch Room

In the lunchroom there were ornaments to color and decorate and a snack consisting of hot chocolate and cookies. We would like to thank the Lunchroom Ladies for the cookies...they were delicious.

Preparing for the big event

Decorating for our Winter activity. This is one of our biggest events. We hold it on a school night and invite the entire family to come and enjoy a fun evening. The theme is usually set around a book. This year we chose "Twas the Night Before Christmas". In order to prepare for this event, we had a group of parents work hard to prepare three different groups for our attendees to rotate through. We also had each child at LES color a picture or two to hang from the ceiling as part of our decorations. They were to choose from various candy, gingerbread boy/girl, etc. They did a great job and these decorations added a nice personal touch to our activity. It was a lot of hard work to get the school completely decorated but it turned out great! THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED CREATE THIS WONDERFUL MASTERPIECE. IT LOOKED AMAZING!

PIZZA! PIZZA!

Parent Council decided to sell Little Ceasar's pizza kits as our first fundraiser for the 2008 -2009 school year. It was a great success! Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, staff, and families that purchased pizza kits. Here are some photos of the event!
